Burnley release young quartet

The quartet, none of whom have made a first-team appearance for the Clarets, will be released at the end of the season.

“We will, of course, fully support them in their quest to find another club and they are free to train for the with us for the remainder of their contracts. We wish them well for the future,” said development coach Jason Blake.

Knowles is the most senior of the quartet and made it as far as the bench for the Clarets’ final Championship game of last season against Cardiff City.

The 20-year-old forward, who came through Burnley’s youth system, has been a regular in the Reserves this season but now gets the chance to further his career elsewhere after two years as a professional at Turf Moor.

Midfielder Lynch, 18, was the Clarets’ young player of the year for the 2010/11 season and was rewarded with a 12-month professional contract last summer.

He has since had loan experience with Droylsden and Nantwich Town, as well as playing in the Clarets’ Reserves.

Winger Wilson, 18, is another product of the Clarets’ youth set-up who has been as regular at Reserve-team level this season as a first-year professional.

Yadolahi, 18, joined the Clarets from Dublin-based St Kevin’s Boys in November, 2009 before signing a 12-month professional contract last summer.

However, injuries have disrupted the defender’s progress this season and he will also depart Turf Moor in the summer.
