Burnley predicted XI vs QPR at Loftus Road with returning duo in contention amid star man Anass Zaroury's absence

Burnley boss Vincent Kompany wants to keep the boots of his league leaders firmly on the ground ahead of the Championship’s restart.

The Manchester City legend doesn’t want the club’s status as table-toppers to distract his players from the task in hand as they prepare for a trip to Loftus Road.

The Clarets are three points clear of Sheffield United at the division’s summit on the back of five wins from three games while opponents QPR, in sixth, are without a win in five games.

However, Kompany wants to approach the fixture in West London as if the campaign is starting over from scratch.

"I want the team to have the attitude of starting the season all over again, so everyone has got equal points,” he said. “This game will not decide whether we're the best, or whether we're the worst, but we just want to start improving again. I'm looking forward to continuing that side of it.”

Leading scorer Jay Rodriguez is back in contention having missed the East Lancashire derby victory over Blackburn Rovers, while Scott Twine, Darko Churlinov and Ashley Westwood have featured in behind-closed-doors friendlies during the break for the Qatar World Cup.

Morocco’s Anass Zaroury, though, will miss the clash with the Hoops after the Atlas Lions reached the quarter-final.

So, how will the Clarets line up as the season recommences?
