Burnley miss out on long-time target

Everton right back Jonjoe Kenny is closing in on a loan switch to looks set to Celtic, on a deal to the end of the season.
Burnley were in contact with the Toffees over the 23-year-old between Christmas and New Year, and there was a growing confidence a deal could be done during the week, but it is believed the Clarets were not prepared to do business at Everton’s asking price of £10m.

Dyche earlier said he felt it was “unlikely” Burnley would get any deals over the line before tomorrow’s deadline: “At this stage it's looking improbable I would say that we get things done - there's big numbers (required) to get things done.”
