Many Burnley fans will be glad to see Jamie Vardy wearing the famous claret and blue, especially as he had a habit of scoring against their side over the years.
The 39-year-old has notched seven goals against the Clarets for his former club Leicester City, helping the Foxes to nine wins and just three defeats from 15 matches in both the Premier League and the Championship.
Vardy’s first goal against Burnley came in 2012 - the year he signed for Leicester from Fleetwood Town.
The season after he would inspire the Foxes to the Championship title under Nigel Pearson, with Sean Dyche’s Clarets joining them in the Premier League after finishing runners-up.
Vardy scored the only goal of the game, just moments after Matty Taylor had missed a penalty at the other end.
He then went on to score 28 goals for club and country the following season as the Foxes incredibly won the Premier League title.
In total, Vardy scored 200 goals from 500 appearances for Leicester, also famously helping them lift the FA Cup in 2021 when they beat Chelsea at Wembley.
The striker - who was still playing non-league football at the age of 26 - departed the Foxes in 2025 and spent last season with Serie A side Cremonese.
He signed for Burnley at the weekend and could make his debut this evening against Wrexham at the Racecourse Ground.
