Report: Burnley man 'close' to sealing Turf Moor exit to native Denmark
Jacob Bruun Larsen close to sealing Burnley exit - reports
Burnley’s Jacob Bruun Larsen is close to sealing a move to FC Copenhagen, according to reports.
The 27-year-old has been linked with the Danish side for a number of weeks now, but it’s now being claimed an agreement is “just around the corner”.
That’s according to Danish outlet Bold, who also suggest the two sides are in final negotiations over a potential deal.
Burnley FC have been contacted for comment.
Bruun Larsen made 30 appearances in all competitions for the Clarets last season after returning for a second spell at Turf Moor.
The Dane initially spent the 2023/24 season on loan with the Clarets under Vincent Kompany, finishing the campaign as top goalscorer with seven goals.
But following relegation back to the Championship, he returned to parent club Hoffenheim before later joining Stuttgart in a permanent deal.
That move didn’t last long though, with Bruun Larsen returning to East Lancashire last summer, penning a four-year contract until 2029.
Burnley have already seen Maxime Esteve, Quilindschy Hartman, Lesley Ugochukwu, Jaidon Anthony and Loum Tchaouna move on this summer.
Elsewhere, Martin Dubravka and Vaclav Hladky also left following the expiration of their contracts, while Axel Tuanzebe and Ashley Barnes are also officially free agents.
