Burnley FC to auction poppy shirts

Burnley players will wear poppies on their shirts for this weekend’s Championship game against Leeds United.

The Clarets have chosen the nearest home game to Remembrance Sunday to commemorate the brave soldiers who gave their lives fighting in conflicts around the world.

And, as usual, the club will be holding an online auction for all these shirts to raise money for the Royal British Legion.

Every first team squad member will have a shirt branded with the poppy and the bidding on all shirts will start on Monday, November 21st at 9am.

Bidding can be made by e-mailing [email protected], clearly stating the player’s name, bid amount and contact details.

The auction will finish at 5pm on Friday, December 2nd and the highest bidder on each shirt will win that shirt.

Daily updates will be available on the official website and all monies raised will be donated to The Royal British Legion.
