Burnley FC legend Jimmy Adamson dies - leave your tribute here

THE world of football is mourning the death of a true football legend – former Burnley player and manager Jimmy Adamson.

Jimmy, who died in Burnley on Tuesday aged 82, was an integral part of Burnley Football Club’s championship-winning side of 1959-60 and in all he made 426 appearances for the Clarets.

A one club man in his playing career, the right half formed an indelible partnership with another club legend, Jimmy McIlroy, driving the team forward to glory.

Jimmy also managed the club from 1970 to 1976 before brief spells at Sparta Rotterdam, Sunderland and Leeds United.
