More than 1,300 Burnley fans made the midweek trip to St Andrew’s to watch the Clarets add another point against Birmingham City.

Vincent Kompany’s side took the lead for the 11th Championship game in succession when substitute Johann Berg Gudmundsson netted in the 70th minute.

The Icelandic international beat Blues’ goalkeeper John Ruddy just four minutes after replacing midfielder Jack Cork to score his first goal since a 3-0 win over Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park in February 2021.

However, the visitors were pegged back just six minutes later when George Hall delivered the ball from the right hand side for striker Scott Hogan to convert from close range.
