Burnley defender goes under the knife
Clarets left back Stephen Ward has had minor surgery on a knee problem.
Ward had to pull out of the Republic of Ireland squad for their Nations League double-header with Denmark and tonight’s game with Wales.
The former Wolves man has seen a specialist about the troublesome issue, and the 33-year-old is now recovering after cleaning up the knee.
Ward’s last appearance came in the Carabao Cup at Burton Albion three weeks ago.
