Burnley defender Anderson joins FC Halifax Town

Burnley defender Tom Anderson joined Conference Premier side FC Halifax Town on a deadline day loan until January.

Anderson, 20, has yet to feature for the Clarets first team, but has been a regular in the Development Squad this season.

The towering centre back will link up with Clarets team mate Archie Love at the Shay Stadium after the Development Squad midfielder joined the Shaymen earlier this month on a youth loan until next summer.

Love featured as Town’s unbeaten home record fell against Guiseley in the FA Trophy.

Halifax are at Harrogate Town tonight to contest the quarter-finals of the West Riding County Cup.

Anderson has previous loan experience, having played 18 games for Barrow over the first half of last season, and four at Hyde later last term.
