Burnley confirm opening friendlies

The Clarets can confirm their first three pre-season fixtures ahead of the 2012/13 campaign.

Eddie Howe’s side will again start their public preparations with a trip to Moss Lane to face Conference North side Altrincham on Saturday, 21 July (kick-off 3pm).

Burnley then go to Bury to take on the Shakers at Gigg Lane on Tuesday, 24 July (kick-off 7.45pm).

And the Clarets also face a local derby away to John Coleman’s Rochdale on Tuesday, 7 August (kick-off 7.30pm).

Details of further friendlies and the Clarets’ pre-season trip to the South West will be released in due course.
