Burnley announce pre-season friendly with La Liga side Celta Vigo

Burnley Football Club is to entertain La Liga side Celta Vigo in a prestigious international friendly ahead of their return to the Premier League, subject to FA and Premier League approval.

Burnley will welcome Celta Vigo to Turf Moor on August 5th

The newly-promoted Clarets will host the Spaniards at Turf Moor on Tuesday, August 5 (kick off 7.30pm).

Celta, who were formed in 1923, finished the 2013/14 season in 9th place in the Primera Division

Their best ever top flight campaign came in 2002-03, when they finished fourth and qualified for the Championship League, were they were eliminated by Arsenal.
