Brierfield Celtic FC hunt new players

Brierfield Celtic FC are looking for extra players who would like to learn how to play football at their Soccer Academy in Burnley.

The club would like to invite any child aged from four to seven to come along to training sessions on Saturday mornings in the Sports Hall at St Thomas Whittam College on Barden Lane in Burnley.

Sessions start at 11 a.m. and last for an hour, with the cost £2 per session.

Celtic promise fully qualified football coaching with the emphasis on fun.

Any budding players interesting in going along are asked simply to turn up at reception.

A hat-trick from man of the match, captain Alfie Percial, helped Pendle Forest Under 11s Tornadoes to a 4-2 win at Langho Juniors on Sunday.

Percival was joined on the scoresheet by leading scorer Jasper Ashworth, to secure another away win for the Tornadoes in the East Lancashire Alliance Yellow League.
