Burnley suffered a 1-0 Premier League defeat to West Ham on Saturday afternoon.
The result means that the Clarets drop to 17th in the table amidst plenty of top-flight transfer talk during the January window.
Sean Dyche, however, isn’t worried.
"I have belief in what we do because history shows us a true picture of how we operate and how we change the way we operate to make sure we get the right results,” he said.
"After eight games we had two points, and now if you look at the points tally and the way we have operated, and you go 'yeah we have been effective'
"The challenge is now can we be more effective because we want to get more points and wins.
"Defensively, generally we have been solid but it is now about operating better in the final third no matter who is playing."
Interestingly SkyBet are offering odds on Newcastle United’s former Liverpool, West Ham and England international striker Andy Carroll on joining Burnley and West Brom.
The Baggies are priced at 3/1 to conclude a deal for the target man, whilst the Clarets are outside shots at 20/1.
The bookies are still operating a market on James Tarkowski’s Turf Moor exit with West Ham (5/1), Liverpool (6/1) and Everton (12/1) currently in the field.
Here’s a round-up of some of the other transfer rumours involving Burnley and their Premier League rivals this morning:

Former Sunderland and England international striker Kevin Phillips has urged Leeds United to sign Atletico Madrid's former Chelsea striker Diego Costa. He said: “Diego Costa has been linked with Leeds, if they could pull that off it would be a masterstroke. Someone of that ilk, who knows that role, would be ideal. It does not look comfortable for Rodrigo.” (Football Insider) Photo: OSCAR DEL POZO
