Alex MacDonald receives Scotland U21 call-up
Clarets’ striker Alex MacDonald has received another international call-up for Scotland’s Under-21s.
MacDonald has been included in a 21-man squad for the Scots’ UEFA U21 Championship qualifying games away to Luxembourg on Thursday, October 6 and at home to Austria four days later, on Monday, 10 October at St Mirren.
Meanwhile, defender Kevin Long has been placed on stand-by for the Republic of Ireland for their qualifier away to Liechtenstein on October 11.
The centre-half is currently enjoying a successful loan spell at Accrington Stanley.
