Burnley and Preston North End fans circled Deepdale ahead of the Lancashire derby in the Championship.

The two rivals will go head-to-head in a competitive fixture for the first time in six-and-a-half years.

The Clarets — who will have 5,500 fans behind them just as they did in 2016 — won on that occasion as Joey Barton’s deflected free kick settled the fixture.
