Fisher More celebrating sport success

Ss John Fisher and Thomas More RC High School in Colne is celebrating a string of sporting successes.

The Under 14 Girls’ Basketball team won the recent Pendle School Tournament.

The squad was: Zoe Kidney, Millie Roscoe, Freya Bythell, Thea Cormack, Olivia Bancroft and Rebecca Lingard.

And the Gibfield Road school has had another successful year with their netball teams.

The Year 8, 9 and 10 netball teams were all crowned champions, by winning the both their respective Pendle Schools’ League and Rally competitions.

The Year 8 Netball Team was: Thea Cormack, Ella Purvis, Sophie Palmer, Sally Brennan, Alice Gane, Chloe Haile, Gaby Foster and Olivia Bancroft.

The Year 9 Netball Team was: Freya Bythell, Millie Roscoe, Zoe Mossop, Zoe Kidney, Aimee Anderson, Ellie Gartland, Annabel Brame and Sophie Dean.

And the Year 10 Netball Team was: Sophia Quinn, Isobel Heap, Molly Crusham, Niamh Mullany, Chloe McCamon, Paige McCaomon, Abbie Hampshire and Elizabeth Williams.
