Jimmy Anderson inspires England to victory
THE Burnley Express helped inspire England to a 1-0 lead in the Ashes with an impressive final day performance.
Despite not taking a wicket on the fourth day Jimmy Anderson was on fine form as England resumed with a lead of 137 runs and just six Australian wickets needed to take the second Test.
After Michael Hussey fell for 52 in the sixth full over, Jimmy struck twice with successive deliveries. First he had Brad Haddin caught behind before taking out Ryan Harris for lbw the next ball, finishing with 2-92.
England won by an innings and 37 runs and will now be full of confidence going into the third Test match in Perth on Thursday, December 16th.
