Burnley Tennis Club coaches selected for Davis Cup Legacy team
The Davis Cup Legacy is about inspiring the next generation to pick up a racket, and 2016 will give thousands of new children the opportunity to play tennis for free.

Hide AdThe LTA is looking for 1,00 of the best and most passionate coaches to link with their clubs, and Jack and Steven will be trained by top mentors from across the nation, and then be part of the team who will help deliver free coaching courses to new children in the area. Each child will receive a new racket so they can continue to play.
Meanwhile, Burnley Tennis Club have won their first trophy of 2016, with the indoor winter league B team claiming the Division Two title with 2 games remaining after winning all 13 games to date.
The team is Jez Palmer, Scott Northey, Donna Livesey and Christine Holt.
Burnley C are on track to take the runners-up position.

Hide AdBurnley D are on course to take the indoor Division Three title, needing just two points from 15. Their only loss was to their own E team, who look like they will take the runners-up cup.
Burnley A are third in their league, with three games remaining.
Burnley’s Lucas Von Heuser Mason has won his fourth junior red ball competition at Ilkley Tennis Club.

Hide AdLucas won all seven of his games, coming from behind in two matches.
Lucas, coached by Burnley head coach Dave Woolstencroft, will now attend a talent ID academy event at Bolton Arena, along with fellow Burnley star Amelia Halstead.
