Here's who stars in Netflix's new show, Ragnarok

As 2020 began, Netflix continued flaunting its ability to pull hit shows from unlikely places with its environmentally-minded Norwegian drama about the modern-day descendants of Norse gods, Ragnarok.
The show takes place in Edda, a Norwegian town which has been ravaged by industrial pollution and the effects of climate change.

The show’s angsty tone and high-school setting have seen it compared to Twilight by many viewers.
Featuring an all-Norwegian cast, it’s likely that many UK viewers won’t be familiar with Ragnarok’s stars so here is a quick guide.

David Stakston previously appeared in another high school drama called SKAM, which received a huge amount of acclaim in Norway, partially for the way in which it tackled serious issues like sexual abuse.
Stakston in particular drew praise for his portrayal of Magnus Fossbakken, a student whose mother suffers from bipolar disorder.
