Youths' arson attack in Padiham park

Firefighters spotted youths running from the scene on Monday.

Crew manager Lee Garnett said: “On further investigation a fire had also been lit in the woods close by.

“Although this appears to be a minor incident, it’s important to understand that due to this deliberate act, the only fire engine in Padiham was unavailable for more important emergency calls and this delay could cost lives.”
