Women ready for Pendleside Hospice’s Midnight Walk
A thousand women from across Burnley are gearing up to don pink T-shirts and flashing bunny ears for the fifth annual Pendleside Hospice Midnight Walk.
The popular women-only charity event takes place on Saturday and women who still have not registered can sign up on the night.
It starts and finishes at Burnley Football Club and walkers will be entertained by an Abba tribute act.
Participants can chose to walk either five miles or eight miles with both routes starting at midnight.

So far the Midnight Walk has raised £800,000 for the charity.
Hospice fund-raising manager Mrs Kaye Bartle said: “Our Midnight Walk is one of those events that really does put the ‘fun’ into fund-raising. It’s a great atmosphere on the night and an amazing sight to see so many ladies gathered together and walking to raise funds for Pendleside Hospice. We also have around 130 volunteers that give up their time to help on the night too – either at Burnley Football Club or out on the route making sure that the ladies are kept safe while they’re walking. “We want to thank everyone for their contribution towards this event, either by participating or volunteering their time.”
