Storm Arwen update: Several roads blocked by fallen trees as high winds batter Burnley and Padiham this evening

Storm Arwen has caused chaos on the roads across Burnley this evening.

Police have been called out to deal with a number of roads blocked by fallen trees.

And drivers have been warned that the Barrowford bypass will be closed for several hours between Greenhead Lane and Guide Lane due to a large tree blocking the road.

Police have issued a warning to motorists this evening as trees brought down by Storm Arwen have blocked a number of roads
