Wayne raises £1,650 for motor neurone disease charity

A Burnley man has raised £1,650 for the Motor Neurone Disease Association after running a massive 408km in one month.

Wayne Farrow (41) committed to the challenge after the death of his friend, Fergus Brown, from the disease in October.

Wayne completed the challenge by running every day, with only two days rest.

His friend, Russell Shaun, pictured above with Wayne, also completed his own version of the run.

Wayne said: “The experience was challenging.

“I was out in all weathers, as early as 5-30am, but the hardest bit was working the runs into my day.

“All in all it was a wonderful experience and Fergus would have been proud. (s)
