Voter registration deadline today
Today is the last possible day to register to vote in the Parliamentary and local elections on May 7th.
Some 41,845 (62.8%) people went to polls in Burnley for the last General Election while the turnout for last year’s borough elections was just 33%.
Burnley Council’s elections officer Alison Stirling said: “If you aren’t registered to vote you’ll miss out and won’t have the chance to have a say on who represents you, nationally and locally.”
