VOTE: Should central Government fund air ambulances?

AIR ambulances provide a vital lifesaving role, especially in large and often remote rural areas such as Ribble Valley.

Being able to get get professional medical help to a casualty as quickly as possible - whatever their location - and then transport that casualty to hospital within minutes, can mean the difference between life and death. There are countless people alive today who would not have been if it were not for air ambulances and thie lifesaving crews.

Yet remarkably, air ambulances are run as charities, reliant on donations and public fund-raising to keep flying, with very little or no direct funding from central government.
