VIDEO: Prince Charles tours Burnley’s Weavers’ Triangle

THE Prince of Wales said Burnley was beginning to realise its “huge potential” in a whirlwind royal visit to the town today.

Prince Charles was taken on a tour of the historic Weavers’ Triangle which is the key to Burnley’s heritage-led regeneration vision.

Several hundred people came out to see His Royal Highness who was shown the site for the new University Technical College announced for Victoria Mill last week.

He also met youngsters, volunteers and business leaders benefiting from the support of the Prince’s Charities who have been working together in the town since 2007.

The unique project, which has been backed by Burnley Council and national businesses, was identified by the Prince as a model that could be employed in other deprived areas in the country.
