VIDEO: Disabled Lynne makes it to top of Pendle Hill
Although there was some bad weather - wind, fog and rain - things still happened. Lynne was taken up in a specially adapted wheelchair and was delighted to get there. She was due to come back down in a tandem paraglider, but that wasn’t possible because of the weather. So her capable team brought her down again in the wheelchair.
The event had a lot of support. It was organised by Jan Bailey after Lynne told her she would like to go up Pendle but could no longer walk.

MP Mr Stephenson joined the rescue team beforehand and took part in an exercise. They went up Pendle Hill to looked for a volunteer victim.
And search dog Finn then found the fake victim, 13-year-old Cameron King. And the MP helped carry Cameron down the hill before taking part in Lynne’s event. So it proved a great day and at least the weather improved.
