A spokesman for Xercise4Less said: “We were very disappointed to see gym-goers getting physical with each other rather than the equipment... exercise releases a lot of endorphins but we absolutely do not tolerate violence or aggressive behaviour in our gyms - in fact we pride ourselves in Xercise4Less being a very friendly environment.
“As soon as we were aware of the disagreement our manager asked the guys to leave the gym and then contacted the police to ensure it was dealt with appropriately.”
