Update: Hit and run victim named as three men arrested are released
The man who died has been named locally as Keith Robinson.
A 50-year-old man from Burnley who was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving has been released without charge.

Hide AdA second man, aged 22, from Colne, who was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and failing to stop has been bailed until April 28th.
A 23-year-old man from Nelson who was also arrested by police on suspicion of assisting an offender has also been bailed until April 28th.
Police were called to the junction of Albert Road and Hill Street in Colne at around 10-20pm on Thursday after reports a man had been hit by a car.

Hide AdMr Robinson was crossing Albert Road when it is believed a Vauxhall Corsa, travelling from Colne towards Nelson, collided with him, failing to stop.
He suffered serious head injuries and was later pronounced dead at the scene. The road was closed for four hours while accident investigators attended.
A Vauxhall Corsa similar to the one described in the collision was later found in the Colne area.

Hide AdDetectives are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward.
Det. Chief Insp. Jo McHugh, of Burnley CID, said: “This is a tragic incident and our thoughts are with the man’s family at this time.
“We would ask anyone with information about this collision to contact police immediately.”
