Two bad crashes overnight in Burnley resulted in road closures and left one person with serious injuries.
The first incident occurred in Yorkshire Street just before 1am and a second crash occurred in nearby Church Street at around 2-20am.
Police said both incidents were separate and each involved one car.
A police spokesman urged people to be patient while the incidents were dealt with.
Emergency services were called to the scene and roads had to be closed for several hours while first aid treatment was carried out and debris was cleared.
A fire service spokesman said: "We attended both road traffic collisions in Yorkshire Street and Church Street.
"We helped paramedics administer first aid and helped clear the road before leaving it with the police and ambulance service.
"They were both serious incidents."
Burnley and Padiham police also confirmed they attended the scene and provided an update via social media.
A spokesman said: "We are currently dealing with two serious road traffic incidents in Burnley.
"One on Yorkshire street and the other on Church Street.
"Road closures are in place so journey routes may vary.
"Please be patient while we deal with them."
Both roads have since been reopened.
