Two arrested in connection with Burnley murder investigation
Two people have this morning been arrested in connection with the investigation into the death of 49 year old Stephen Whitehead in Burnley.
A 20-year-old man from Burnley has been arrested on suspicion of murder and a 16-year-old girl from Padiham has been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.
They are both currently in custody.
Police were called by the Ambulance Service at around 8am on Monday July 27th after Stephen Whitehead was discovered at the business premises of Pendle Skips in Balderstone Close, Burnley with significant head injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
A post-mortem examination established the cause of death as extensive head injuries.
