Starting at Brookside Garage at 11am, an anticipated 20-plus convoy of agricultural heritage will complete a route of 20 miles featuring both on and off road sections.

Entrants can expect spectacular vistas while riding their vintage machines around the village’s surrounding roads and entry to the charity event is £10.

The run should provide good viewing for spectators too with tractors of all colours and manufacturers trundling through the Trawden countryside returning to Brookside Garage for between 1-30pm and 2pm.

One of the organisers, Andrew Crawshaw, said: “I’m hoping for at least 20, but it’s just a case of who turns up on the day.

“The forecast is to be overcast at the moment but they’re a hardy bunch so it will be no problem.”

A pie and pea lunch will be served up for returning entrants back at the garage and proceeds on the day will be split between Pendleside Hospice and the Trawden Garden Festival.
