Work to repair bridge on Barden Lane between Burnley and Pendle expected to cause traffic delays
Significant disruption is expected when work begins on a popular route for motorists from Burnley to Pendle.
Roadworks and traffic restrictions are now in place on Barden Lane near the canal bridge/Lower Manor Lane junction, with a Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic order effective from February 16th to March 23rd.
The road is closed to traffic, though pedestrian access to properties is maintained to allow for bridge repairs and ongoing work following a previous bridge strike.
Traffic is being diverted, with advice to use the Kensington Park area.
