More bus journeys coming to Burnley

The 592 will operate eight additional journeys split equally between the early morning and mid-afternoon departures in both directions.

These changes add to extra peak times which began last December and have been made following continued discussions with customers, centres of education and the community.

Martin Hirst, commercial director of First West Yorkshire, said: “We have listened to our customers and made further improvements to the timetable to serve the varying needs of people travelling at busy times and through the day.”

Minor changes have been made to the 589 Rochdale-Burnley service to allow better co-ordination with the 588 Rochdale-Littleborough and 590 Rochdale-Halifax routes.
