Three people released from vehicles after two car accident on M65 last night

Three people had to be released from their vehicles after a collision involving two cars on the M65 motorway last night.

Three fire crews from Nelson and Burnley were called to the accident near to junction 13 at Barrowford just after 9-30pm.

The incident involved two vehicles and firefighters assisted in extricating two casualties at the scene using a hose reel, a small tool kit and some lighting equipment.

There was a further casualty who was released from one of the vehicles prior to firefighters arriving.

Crews were at the scene for around half an hour.
