Police are hunting a man who exposed himself to a woman before attempting to run her off the road.

The victim, a 52-year-old woman from Preston, had taken a wrong turn off the M65 at around 8-55pm on Wednesday, March 23rd, and is thought to have stopped in a layby, possibly on Barrowford Road.

A dark coloured car has then pulled up behind her and two men have got out and approached the back of her vehicle.

One of the men has gone up to the driver’s window, pulled his pants down and started touching himself inappropriately while laughing and making comments.

The woman sped off towards the M65 followed by the offender and his accomplice in the Audi who tried to force her vehicle off the road. They eventually came to a stop and the woman managed to get away.

PC Dave Senior said: “This was understandably a very alarming ordeal for the victim. Not only did the offender approach her and perform a sexual act on himself, he has then followed her and tried to run her off the road.

“If you saw a dark car, possibly an Audi, in the area at the time, please contact us. Similarly, if you have any information that could assist us with our investigation, please get in touch.”
