Teenage ‘lout’ given ASBO until 2013

Harry Macintosh (15) of St Matthew Street, Burnley, was given the two-year ASBO for nuisance behaviour including throwing stones, swearing and drinking on the streets in the Trinity area.

The Burnley Council application for the ASBO was granted by Reedley magistrates who heard Macintosh had “an attitude of disregard for figures of authority”.

Mr Mark Jackson (prosecuting) said: “There have been 15 incidents between March and July. Macintosh has an attitude of disregard for figures in authority, and has been involved in drinking and swearing in public places, throwing stones at buildings and riding motorcycles. It is general loutish behaviour.”

The order states he must not enter an area of Burnley between Raglan Road, Grange Street, Pritchard Street, Herbert Street and Albion Street.

He must not ride or be carried on a motorcycle on a road without prior consent by someone with authority and must not associate with Jake Biriny, aged 15.

He must also not be in possession of or under the influence of alcohol in public, act in an anti-social manner or throw an object at a person, house or other property. The order will remain in place until August 2013.
