Talented Hannah inspired by Beatrix Potter

A Nelson and Colne College Art and Design class put pen to paper to create illustrations for children's books on World Book Day.

Talented student Hannah Calvert was one of those and in the Graphic Design element of her course, the class is currently working on creating children’s books. This continued on World Book Day, with Hannah getting her inspiration from Beatrix Potter’s watercolour paintings.

As part of the national event, Hannah spoke about her favourite book, and said: “One of my favourite stories was ‘We’re Going on a Bear Hunt’ as a child. It sticks in my head as I remember my mum would do role play when reading it.”
