The event, which was held at Rawtenstall Womenswear store Sunday Best, included a raffle with prizes such as spa days, shopping vouchers, and even a designer handbag.

The appeal is aiming to raise £100,000 towards a new state-of-the-art chemotherapy unit at Burnley General Hospital which is set to open next spring.

Antonia Love, head of family law at Farley’s, said: “This is the third year that we have held a charity fashion show at Sunday Best, and when we learned of the Rosemere Burnley Chemotherapy Unit Appeal, we wanted to support it as Farley’s is very much a local company that works to support the local community.”

The world class unit is set to cost £200,000 and will replace the hospital’s current chemotherapy suite, which has no room to expand or for additional facilities.

The unit has also been designed specifically around patients’ needs, which according to documented research can help improve response to treatment and bring out better results.

Dan Hill, Rosemere’s East Lancashire fundraising co-ordinator, said: “We are tremendously grateful to the team at Farley’s Solicitors for its continued generous support.
