Until her death in August last year Celia was a nurse in the hospice at home team.

Her family decided to organise an event to raise money for the hospice in her memory.

A group of 17 family and friends climbed the mountain in June and raised a fantastic £2,507!

Celia’s husband Miles said: “It was a fantastic challenge and we had a great day.

“Once it was over and we were all in the pub, we started talking about what we’d do next so we came up with “Celia’s Challenge.

“We’re going to do something for the hospice every year now. In 2014 we’re going to organise a Morecambe Bay walk. The challenges will be a great way to remember Celia and raise money for the hospice at the same time”.
