Seven charged after drugs raids

Warrants were executed at addresses in Brierfield and Burnley as part of a Serious and Organised Crime Unit (SOCU) and East Division investigation into the supply of drugs in East Lancashire.

The following have each been charged with conspiracy to supply controlled drugs of class A to another:

Mohammed Zishan Amjad (26), of Eskdale Close, Brierfield; Shiraz Afzal (27), of Limefield Avenue, Brierfield; Ihsaan Ali (45), of Heyhead Street, Brierfield; Anwar Ahmed (28), of Colne Road, Burnley; Haroon Mahmood (24), of John Street, Brierfield; Ziad Khaliq (28), of Devonshire Road, Burnley; and Furqan Amjad (24), of Halifax Road, Brierfield. He has also been further charged with possession of criminal property.

They are each due to appear at Preston Magistrates’ Court this morning.
