See International Space Station in night sky

The International Space Station should be visible in the night sky over the North West of England with the naked eye.

The ISS is the largest space station/laboratory ever built, orbiting the Earth at 17,500mph at an altitude of about 200 miles.

Tonight (Friday) experts say the station will be “incredibly bright” in the sky, spotted coming from a west, south westerly direction at 8-51pm, it will be at its highest point at 8-54pm and disappear in the east at 8-57pm.

There will also be a chance to see it this weekend if the skies are clear. Tomorrow (Saturday) and Sunday it will also be “incredibly bright”, appearing at 9-34pm in the west and disappearing at 9-39pm in the east tomorrow and, on Sunday, it can be seen between 8-40pm and 8-47pm and 10-17pm and 10-20pm.
