A group of young people from St Stephen’s Primary School attended the Sanctuary 2016 event which was hosted by the Bishop of Burnley, the Rt Rev. Philip North, and the Bishop of Lancaster, the Rt Rev. Geoff Pearson.

They took part in a packed programme of activities, including an inflatable assault course, surf simulator, arts, craft, music and dance activities all aimed at enabling youngsters to understand the messages in the Gospel and the theme of hidden treasure was explored through games, worship and short talks.

Workshops also gave children the chance to make a film, carry out chemical experiments, look at video game design and discuss issues around money, Fairtrade and vocation.
