Sabden’s ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’ plays to full houses
There were laughs galore when Sabden’s New Village Folk staged their rib-tickling pantomime “Jack and the Beanstalk” in four sell-out performances at St Mary’s Hall.
Audiences lapped up the songs, dances, romance, audience participation and all-round daftness.
Mark Woodward and Ben Parsons were co-directors and hilariously played Dame Dimple and Simple Simon respectively.

Hide AdMaisie Yerkess and Beth Ashton were Jack and Sally, with Dominic Collis cast as the squire, Simon Capstick as Esme, Ann Mason as the fairy, Margaret Parsons and Alma Thompson as the two demon sisters, Jean Haythornthwaite as Mavis, and Diane Collinson as the wrong panto characters.
