Sabden Primary School has been awarded a Green Flag award from the Eco Schools programme for its work over the past five years, which has included creating bee gardens, developing and maintaining the school garden and helping to keep Sabden litter free.

Pupils on the school’s Eco Council, who are from Years 2 to 6, meet regularly to discuss their work and future projects.

A major part of their “going green” initiative is to encourage recycling in school and the community, and also urging residents to reduce their carbon footprint.
