Rudolph fronts McDonalds advertising campaign
A Burnley McDonalds worker who became an internet sensation after delighted customers praised his attitude to work on social media has been chosen to front a national advertising campaign for the fast food giant.
Rudolph Henry (58), who said he loves to make people smile, was one of only eight employees from around the country to appear in the restaurant chain’s latest “With McDonald’s, I Can” campaign after news of his popularity reached head office.
The former soldier, who came to the UK from Guyana in South America in 2006, said he was overwhelmed with the comments made by his many satisfied customers, which have also earned him a Chelsea football shirt signed by legendary England footballer Geoff Hurst and an invitation to tea with the Mayor of Burnley, Coun. Liz Monk.
Burnley franchise owner Victor Arciniega said: “Rudolph is such a kind, unassuming and caring individual. All he wants to do every day is make people happy.”
Rudolph, who supports the Clarets as well as the London side and lives near Turf Moor, said he was proud to feature in the new campaign.
“I was surprised when all the customers put it on Facebook but I was over the moon. We have a great crew here and I had an excellent time in London for the photoshoot.
“They really took care of me. I’ve made a lot of friends through this job and people recognise me in the street. In life everybody is born with talents and this is my talent from God.”
