Clitheroe’s Ribblesdale High School has burst back onto the boards with a spellbinding production of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast Jr, marking a return to the stage after a break from school theatre productions.
The much-loved Disney classic was brought to life by an amazing cast of pupils, whose talent, enthusiasm and hard work helped create a memorable experience for local primary school pupils, parents and carers, staff and the wider community.
With memorable songs, colourful characters and a heart-warming story about looking beyond appearances, the production showcased the very best of Ribblesdale’s young performers.
A spokesman for the school said: “The show was a wonderful opportunity for pupils to shine, working together to bring this enchanting tale to the stage. Their commitment and dedication were evident throughout, with the production celebrating not only their performing talents but also the teamwork, confidence and creativity that come from being part of a school production.

“Returning to the stage after a period without a production has made this comeback particularly special for the school community. The success of Beauty and the Beast Jr has left audiences with plenty to remember — and perhaps one big question: what will Ribblesdale School bring to the stage next year?”
