Restaurant’s free pizza offer on Facebook!

A PENDLE restaurant has launched a competition which could see one of the borough’s leading charities receive free pizza for life!

Chakra, the Indian restaurant in Market Street, Colne, has posted a status on Facebook which says if it gets 150 “likes” it will donate enough free pizza to the SafeSpace charity to give it a free pizza night every month.

SafeSpace is based in Nelson and looks after homeless young people in Pendle.

A Chakra restaurant spokesman said: “We wanted to give something back to the local community and when we saw the great work SafeSpace were doing we just knew we needed to support them. We thought we would make it a little more fun though and so we have set them the challenge of getting 150 ‘likes’ on a status on our Facebook account.”

Sarah Griffin, from SafeSpace, said: “It’s excellent Chakra are supporting us in this way. I know our residents will really appreciate it.

“We just need to get everyone’s support to the get the 150 ‘likes’ on their Facebook account... We still need a few more yet. I hope people will log on to support us.”
