Pub Walk set to smash the £50,000 barrier!
The event, organised by the Rotary Club of Burnley Pendleside, attracted around 1,000 walkers back in June.
A special celebration evening was staged at the club’s meeting last Wednesday, when hospice fund-raising manager Christina Cope revealed that more than £48,000 had already been raised with sponsorship money still to come from more than 200 participants.

Past president of the Rotary Club of Burnley Pendleside James Swindells said: “The total is absolutely amazing. The walk has gone from strength to strength and we are already getting requests for information on next year’s event.”
As well as the hospice money another £5,000 of entry money has gone to Rotary charities.
Christina Cope praised the club for their support. She said: “The Pendle Pub Walk is one of my favourite events of the year.
